We had a standard double room, room was on a slant and bed not overly comfortable, room was quite dated and could do with modernising although bathroom was spot on. The lobby of the hotel was impressive though and was like going back in time to grander times, would stay again but request a better quality room (if there is such a thing)
Very comfortable, warm and friendly. Very uder staffed. Waited ages for meal and did't get what we ordered! Food very ordinary. What staff there was were nice, helpful and friendly. Will go and stay again although The Grand has good vibes and more characters.

Clearly not what we was expecting. Photos were completely different. swimming pool were closed.Looks like we came back to 40s . Rooms cold,u can hear wind blowing through windows. And only elder people's around. So we had fantastic sleep!!**
Room clean but very basic for 148 pounds without breakfast for two nights one person. No window just a wall where there should be a window a small border window on top. No ventilation just a manual fan supplied which I was glad of. Dinner 3 courses 17.50 soup, salads desserts very nice but main course very poor. Location excellent. Staff very helpful.
