Friendly staff, nice and clean with great areas for dog walks really enjoyed our stay
Didn't go this year as we planned, it has changed owners, got a really snooty reception from the lady on the telephone, not polite at all! Nothing like last year. On reading other posts it seems we are not the the only ones that have moved on elswhere. I believe it's owned by a motor home club now, not a good move, it was a very family orientated, friendly site.
Amazing campsite and caravan site. Great kids area, toilets are beautifully clean at all times of the day. Enjoyed our second stay just as much as first which is always a bonus. We camp all round the country and this is one of the best weve been too. Really really happy and will be coming again deffinatly. 5 stars guys and well deserved!
A really friendly welcome with wonderful staff that are always there with a smile & are very helpful. The site is wonderful for couples & families. The only drawback I could come up with is that if your an avid viewer of tv then you may not get a fantastic reception, luckily my wife and I are not. Great site with a wonderfully relaxed setting, can't wait to go back.
This was my 5th year here but this was my last. Change if ownership. It was a family friendly quiet well maintained site previously with clear lines marked for tents and fire breaks and car parking spaces. Toilet blocks were cleaned not just wiped with a squeeze mop. This year half the toilets were closed, the floors were dirty, sinks weren't always cleaned (toothpaste on it for 2 days). Staff were not friendly. Kids play area was open all hours when it used to be closed at 8pm so you knew you wouldn't have kids making noise there all night. The markings for tents and fire breaks have gone, the shop which was always well stocked was non existent. We had dried dog dirt on our pitch so clearly they don't keep the site maintained like they used to. As others have said one woman staff is very rude, abrupt and just generally not nice. There used to be hairdryers in the toilets and 20p a go. They have been taken out as has the iron in the laundry. You used to see staff throughout the week's stay and they would chat and this time we very rarely saw them. The biggest give away was the site was empty most of the week and it was high season. This site was always packed. As soon as a pitch was emptied another arrival came. They have reduced the number of tent pitches and most of them are no caravan sites but they and most of the other caravan pitches were empty. We had a drunken family behind us making noise till 3am. This would have been stopped well before 3am by the previous owners who ran it as a family site. Good luck all those who want a bar/clubhouse because you'll have to pay a fortune for its upkeep because the year in year out regulars will not return the same as previous years
